Our company name is derived from the Welsh word Epilio meaning to bring into existence and to teem. Founded with the firm belief that people working together, sharing and collaborating is fundamental to a company’s success, Epilio focuses its attention on working with clients of any size to ensure they are using the right tools and solutions to enable faster decision making through the use of technology and smart thinking.

Management Team



Carl Tyler
Director
   Mr. Tyler heads the real-time collaboration division "Epilio" of Cornerstone Technology Partners. Epilio is a division focused on delivering high quality applications and turn-key solutions to clients of collaboration software such as IBM Lotus Sametime and Microsoft Office Communications Server.

Mr. Tyler has over 20 years of experience with collaboration software, including over nine years at Lotus Development and two plus years at IBM Development UK. Whilst at Lotus he was Worldwide Knowledge Management Manager and Lotus Notes R5 International Launch Manager.

After leaving Lotus Development, Mr. Tyler worked for UK based Virtual Village as VP of Development in their US office. Virtual Village was acquired in 2000 by the German company Job Pilot.

Prior to starting Epilio, Tyler co-founded award winning Instant Technologies.

Gregg Gianopulos
System Architect
Gregg Gianopulos has enjoyed more than 20 years in the professional software development industry and brings that experience to the table with every client engagement. During his professional tenure Gianopulos has contributed as a software engineer, a software system architect, team leader, technology innovator, manager, and business leader. Gianopulos has contributed as a technology leader on projects ranging from Internet startups to International Consumer Banking, both as a consultant as well as holding staff engineering, and managerial positions.

After studying Computer Science at the State University of New York, Mr. Gianopulos joined Lotus Development Corporation in 1987 where he spent nearly 10 years and achieved the position of Software System Architect. During his tenure at Lotus Gianopulos worked on the 1-2-3 spreadsheet, the common user interface management system, and the Lotus Components ISV toolkit. Subsequently, Gianopulos held position with Perot Systems as a Subject Matter Expert in the Internet Competency Center in Cambridge, Ma. where he engaged with many international clients such as East Midlands Electric, Bank of Ireland, Citigroup and Citibank.

In 1998 Gianopulos gained entrepreneurial experience as a member of the management team forming (i)Structure, a Boston based Internet Technology Consultancy and subsidiary of PKS Information Systems (Later becoming Level(3) Communications.) There Gianopulos assumed responsibility for building and managing a consulting practice as Vice President of the Internet Commerce Group.
 
 



Steve Manousos
System Architect
Steve Manousos has over 25 years of experience in software architecture and development. His experience spans all phases of the software development process, from product conception through deployment. Steve has participated in a senior leadership role in both large and small scale efforts across a wide spectrum of the software development arena including traditional desktop, web based, and mobile applications. This includes several widely recognized industry acclaimed products such as the MultiMate word processor, the Lotus 1-2-3 spreadsheet, and the Lotus Desktop for the IBM Network Computer.

Before joining Cornerstone Technology Partners Steve was a senior architect and member of the management team at (i)Structure / Level 3 Communications. Prior to that he was a senior consultant for Perot Systems Corporation where he served as a Subject Matter Expert available to other consultants in both Java and Microsoft technologies. Prior to this, Manousos contributed at the most senior technical levels for nearly 10 years at Lotus Development Corporation where he was responsible for delivering major components of Lotus' leading products such as Lotus 1-2-3 and the Lotus Desktop for the IBM Network Computer.

Manousos holds a B.A. in Mathematics from Drew University.
 
 



Bruce Swan
System Architect
Mr. Swan has over 30 years of experience delivering innovative IT solutions over a wide range of platforms. Over his career, Mr. Swan has been a founder of multiple companies, and member of senior management teams, developing software products and providing IT consulting services as both a technical manager and a software architect.

Prior to Cornerstone Technology Partners, Mr. Swan was a co-founder of Vertigo Development Group, a multi-media company that developed a line of products built on the ActiveBook technology. Mr. Swan was the Chief Architect responsible for the underlying platform, including an Object Management system and Calculation/Dependency Engine. Using his technology, Vertigo produced over 20 titles for companies such as Fidelity Investments, Dow Jones, Standard & Poor's, Intuit, and The Learning Company.

In 1982 Mr. Swan co-founded Resource Control Systems (RCS), developers of Solver, a goal-seeking multi-variable non-linear back-solver sold to Lotus Development Corp. in 1986 where it was integrated into 123 Spreadsheets as a key feature. Prior to this, Mr. Swan was recruited by American Management Systems (AMS) in 1977 out of Northern Illinois University where he earned a B.S. in Computer Science with an emphasis in Accounting.
